December Meeting – Wreath Making

This month we gave a warm welcome to Jemma from Riverbend Flowers York, returning once again to demonstrate making festive wreaths.
She brought along with her two glamorous assistants to help with the making of our great creative wreaths. Jemma gave very detailed comprehensive instructions on how to produce a perfect wreath. There was an array of beautiful variety of green foliage to use and seasonal decorations to adorn the masterpieces.
Over 40 members came along to join in the fun. Everyone gotinto the swing and were having so much fun the time flew by. It was an amazing social evening altogether. The array of unique and different designs was astonishing, from green and white designs to ones full of festive colours. Some contained dried fruits cones, bows and thistles giving such great 3D affect with varied textures. All the ladies enjoyed a brilliant time, while getting into the festive mood.

Everyone enjoyed refreshments on arrival on offer was tea, coffee, cold drinks and homemade carrot cake and many more Christmasy treats. In the New Year our January meeting kicks off with calligraphy and grand raffle. So come along to enjoy learning new lettering and script techniques. A skill that will be useful for artwork, card making and posters.
So, rounding up the end of another good year, with lots to look forward to in next year’s programme. Wishes to everyone for a happy, peaceful and blessed Christmas and New Year! Hope everyone can join us on 9th January for our first meeting of 2025!
