January Meeting – Hypnotherapy and WI Resolutions
Wishing all members a Happy New Year!
We started the New Year with a visit from a hypnotherapist and are WI January Christmas present swap, plus a presentation of the WI Resolutions for 2026. On arrival everyone had a choice of a hot or cold drinks, accompanied with a delicious slice of homemade Victoria Sandwich cake. At the end of the evening the ever-popular Christmas gift swap was drawn and proved a big success.

Our first meeting of the year started with a discussion of the 5 WI resolutions presented by Charli. Followed by an insight into hydrotherapy and a mini demonstration at the end presented by Andrea Dobbs.
Charli did a sterling job delivering a very comprehensive description of the resolutions for this year, all members present voted and it was recorded. It was very evident that Charli did in-depth research to prepare.
Hypnotherapy
Andrea explained that anyone can be hypnotised if they are not resistant to it. Hypnotism is all about the conscious and subconscious mind. She told us that it can be used to help people with phobias and fearers, anxiety, stress, pain management, dieting and many more issues they need to overcome. Of course, she also said hypnosis can be used in the entertainment business. She offered the ladies a chance to be hypnotised at the end of her talk; most chose to take part in that. The ladies that attended were open to what she had to say, with a few who were sceptical, but still worth listening to!

February Meeting
The up-and-coming February meeting will be the AGM running alongside Hearing Dogs for the deaf. I am sure it will prove to be an interesting evening. All members and guests are very welcome, so join us on Thursday 12th Feb from 7-15pm for a 7-30pm start, looking forward to seeing you there.
