November Meeting – Festive Crafting

The November meeting was a fun evening of festive crafting all set up and led by Felicity and Mary, and what a great job they did. Everything was prepared by them ahead of time, so all the ladies just had to turn up ready to create their personal unique designs. Full instructions were given and guidance through the evening. On table 1 there were wooden dye cut baubles with an inlayed snowflake that popped out and supplied was acrylic paints in an array of colours to cover the decoration, followed by various dotting style patterns. Table 2 was watercolour painting Christmas tree designs, with washi tape to set the design on to watercolour card to make tags or a Christmas a card. Then moving on to Table 3 for the embellishments of stick-on gems, ink stamps and washi tape borders to create the finish.
There was a good attendance and all the ladies had lots of fun coming up with fabulous inspiration for their designs, along with great friendly and social chat. Hope everyone left feeling a little bit more festive, with only 5 weeks to go until Christmas Eve!
The raffle prize of a watercolour paint set was won by Cath who just become a new member, well done. Also, Kay was running her monthly book swap table, with a large variety of books on offer. Before the crafting, everyone was welcomed with refreshments of hot tea/coffee or cold drinks and homemade Victoria Sandwich cake.
