Dark nights are definitely drawing in, but we were cosy and warm at our November meeting where Felicity lead us through 3 Christmas crafts, there was a fantastic atmosphere full of friendly chatter. Fuelled by wonderful, sweet treats we made a paper Santa that could be turned into a garland, some beautiful and simple cards using “dotting” and finally a memory book.
Sahra brought us up to speed with the latest from national and federation and we welcomed some new members joining us at the end of the year. Sahra also asked us all to give a huge thanks to Lucy Turner who is stepping down from the committee ready to become a new mum again soon but has been a wonderful committee colleague – remember we always looking for new committee recruits and would love anyone to join us for a taster at the committee meetings they’re mostly still on zoom so really easy to come along and see how you could help.
Sahra and Sam also mentioned that the subscription price for 2023/2024 has now been set; at £46 but remember not to be paid until April next year which will be our new renewal month going forward now instead of January.
It was an especially chilled night at SSWI this time, and we hope that all of our members enjoyed the social time while crafting – we’ve had some lovely feedback since and want to thank Felicity, from “Felicity Crafts” the business that she set up through lockdown to keep us and the rest of the country crafting we are really pleased that the business is going well and hope we will not struggle too much to secure her for future years!
Have a wonderful rest of November to all of our sweethearts and we look forward to seeing you in December for wreath making (don’t forget to book a spot!)
