April Meeting – ‘Taskmaster’ game night
April’s meeting was a “Taskmaster” style games night, presented by Rachel, one of our members. Rachel came and set up the hall for what promised to be an evening jam-packed with fun and it didn’t disappoint!

We were in teams of five, each named after an item that team had brought in – which had to be “something unsuitable for a WI competition”.
Playing against one another led to a very competitive evening! We all had the most fun night and were very entertained from start to finish.
And The Winner Is…
There was a wide range of games including throwing teabags into mugs, drawing pie charts and platypus, building a high structure out of paper to balance an egg on, floor art with any objects to hand and a re-enactment of an historical event in 30 seconds using only four-letter words in the dialogue. The “Pink Wafer” team won, and it was a fantastic bonding and socially interactive evening.

Time For Tea!
Beforehand, the usual refreshments were served, tea, coffee, or fruit juice, with a piece of victoria lemon and raspberry sandwich cake, homemade by Shirley.
Next Month…
Next month we will have the lovely and experienced gardening expert Sylvie, another of our members, showing us how to plant garden containers for the patio and the chance to plant up a small container to take home. Come along and be prepared to get your hands dirty and join the fun. You may like to arm yourself with gardening gloves. All current and new members welcome.
